It’s a new day. Rejoice and be Glad
This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad today!

Note that the suggestion to rejoice and be glad is because God made the day. Not because everything is going exceptionally well. Not because we have friends; not because we are in good health; not because we have great jobs; not because business is doing great or is rewarding and the shareholders and directors are smiling to the bank ; not because we have perfect grades; not because we just got answered prayers; not because we have food to eat or just got a promotion or a new car and house.
Our being glad should not be dependent on the good things happening, we should rejoice and be glad simply because God made the day.
Incidentally, good things tend to happen when we rejoice and are glad, because God is a Rewarder. It’s like a smiling child whose hands are outstretched. With such a position, he can be carried or given gifts. But if the arms are folded, with a frown, he’s not able to see or receive anything.
Being glad is an emotional choice just as depression is. Everyday is however an opportunity to start fresh and be glad. So, snap out of that depression and unhappiness and begin to rejoice because God made the day.
